Golf Lessons, Putting, Speed control, Line

Hi all, with the weather closing in and the greens fully recovered from coring for the past few weeks it's a good time to spend some time on the putting green. Wearing multiple layers will not deter your putting but if you're not factoring in speed, this can.

Putting Distance Control

In putting, speed is four times more important than line. You can hole a putt on numerous lines, the most important thing is to decide what speed you want the ball to go into the hole then pick the line. For example if you look at the picture above, both putts were hit on the same line. The one that was missed below the hole was hit with a speed too soft for that line, while the other has been hit with a speed too hard for the line the golfer has chosen.
